CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 6

Graphics Settings

My setup is powered by the NVIDIA RTX 5090, allowing me to push visual fidelity to the absolute limit without sacrificing frame rates. However, competitive optimization is about balance. Below, you will find my maximum fidelity configuration. Note: If you are running on limited VRAM, I have marked the settings you should lower to maintain stability.

1. DISPLAY & QUALITY (RTX 5090 CONFIG)

Powered by the NVIDIA RTX 5090, I run almost every graphical setting on Maximum/Ultra. I want the game to look incredible while maintaining high frame rates.

  • Global Quality: Set to Ultra My system handles maximum fidelity with ease. I prefer the immersion of high-resolution textures and effects, as long as they don’t impact visibility. Exception: Ray Tracing is OFF. Regardless of hardware power, Ray Tracing adds unnecessary visual noise and input latency that we want to avoid in competitive play.
  • Upscaling: Set to DLSS Quality Even with a 5090, I prefer DLSS Quality over DLAA.
  • The Logic: DLAA renders at native resolution, which costs performance. DLSS Quality delivers an incredibly sharp image that rivals native resolution but provides a massive FPS boost and better frame-pacing. In a fast-paced online shooter, this is the superior choice.

Alternative for Max FPS (Competitive Focus) If you do not have top-tier hardware or simply prefer raw performance over immersion, you should take a different approach:

  • Lower your Texture and Detail settings to Low/Normal.
  • Switch DLSS to Performance or Balanced.
  • This sacrifices visual beauty but ensures the absolute highest possible frame rate for 144Hz+ monitors or higher.

2. VIEW & CAMERA

Peripheral vision is information, but too much zoom-out can make targets hard to see.

  • Field of View (FOV): I play on 120. This gives the maximum tactical advantage to see flanking enemies.

  • Recommendation: If you struggle to spot targets at a distance, lower this to 105-115. This slightly zooms the image in, making enemy hitboxes appear larger.

  • ADS Field of View: Affected. This minimizes visual recoil.

  • Motion Blur: Disabled. Crucial for clarity during fast turns.
